Your Best Shot at Immunity

Multimin® 90 is a proven, one-of-a-kind trace mineral injection that provides zinc, copper, manganese and selenium to support dairy cattle health and reproduction. Strategic trace mineral supplementation with Multimin 90 supports both natural immunity and vaccine response1, providing better protection in periods of high stress such as birth, weaning and freshening. Research results2 indicate that injectable trace minerals support udder health, allowing producers to reduce treatment costs and antibiotic use.

Supports a healthy immune system

Research results1 indicated supplementation of trace minerals with Multimin 90 at time of initial vaccination and booster, improved vaccine response in the study group from 53% to 80%, as measured by a four-fold increase in antibody titers. This leads to enhanced immune function and better vaccine ROI.

Enhances protection in high-stress periods

Stress can arise in many situations in a dairy animal’s life, such as: weaning, transportation, breeding, calving, or vaccination.

A university study3 indicated that supplementing pregnant heifers with Multimin 90, along with a scours vaccine before calving, resulted in increased colostrum quality in heifers by increasing specific antibodies. Calves consuming the higher quality colostrum tended to have more specific antibodies against scour-causing viruses than control calves.

Supports udder health

The average case of clinical mastitis in the United States costs at least $400, including both direct costs, such as therapeutics or non-saleable milk, and indirect costs, such as future production or reproductive loss.4

University research results showed5 that when a single injection of Multimin 90 was given to dairy cows with elevated somatic cell counts, there was reduced incidence of chronic clinical mastitis, particularly in first lactation cows. Additionally, in cows with three or more lactations, subclinical mastitis treatment success was increased.

In another university study, research results showed2 a reduction in somatic cell counts, decreased clinical mastitis in multi-lactation cows, and decreased subclinical mastitis when cows were supplemented with zinc, copper, manganese and selenium by Multimin 90 injection at dry-off, 30 days pre-calving, and 35 days in milk.
